Lady Chiefs Golf
The 2017 golf season is here! The girls welcomed a new coach this year, and Ron Sweet will be returning as assistant coach. Practice began on July 31 which included a parent / team / coach meeting and a big welcome to all our new players. Thank you to the Haenigs who hosted the BBQ to kick off the season! Rankings are currently underway.
Four of the members from last year's team participated in the Betty & Bobby Allison's Junior Pro-Am to support the Price Cutter Charity Championship on August 4. Alayna Haenig, Kaylee Ward, Kayla Morris, and Katy Finke were paired with Pro Steve Friesen (2011 Winner of PCCC). The girls played amazing together and Steve was a great partner, teaching the girls from start to finish! Everyone is looking forward to our first tournament of the season, which will be played at Lake Valley Country Club in Camdenton, MO.

The Junior Varsity team played in their first tournament at the Ozark Invitational at Fremont Hills on September 7. While neither JV nor Varsity teams placed amongst the 18 teams, they enjoyed the beautiful course and were thankful that they did not have to play through the rain, like last year's tournament! The girls will need a weekend of rest, as they prepare to play two tournaments next week.
